An agreement to structure research in the fields of green hydrogen and bioenergy has been signed with the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP). The aim is to support the Quebec Intelligent Energy Network (RQEI) and Escouade Énergie in carrying out activities designed to contribute to the objectives of Quebec’s green hydrogen and bioenergy strategy.
Six strategic axes have been defined to accelerate innovation and collaboration in these sectors of the future:
Strengthen collaboration between research centers by pooling human resources, expertise and state-of-the-art equipment.
Key activities:
Encourage teamwork between university and college researchers on joint projects.
Financial support for the start-up of the innovation chain (R&D) is essential to boost and increase research capacity. We have drawn up a portrait of available training and the needs of the job market, established a roadmap and recommendations for higher education establishments (colleges and universities) to adjust existing programs and develop new ones, and set up a continuing education offering to support the deployment of the hydrogen and bioenergy sectors.
We have supported the launch of innovative startups
to stimulate the ecosystem and the creation of
wealth within the green hydrogen and bioenergy sectors.
