Why hold an Energy & Transport Summit?

Because the energy transition can no longer be summed up in a single technology.

The Energy & Transport Summit offers an integrated look at the issues of energy production, storage, vehicles, infrastructure and usage, to better understand how these dimensions fit together and evolve. Through presentations, discussions and targeted networking, the summit offers a concrete look at advances, pilot projects and initiatives being deployed in Quebec and around the world.

A true meeting place for research, industry, municipalities and decision-makers, the Energy & Transport Summit is designed around a common objective: to bring together key players to structure a shared understanding of new innovation trajectories in energy and transport, from production to use, and to support their deployment in the field.

No matter what your role, one thing is certain: the trajectory is built together.

The program

The Energy & Transport Summit is preparing a program rooted in reality, designed to fuel reflection, stimulate discussion and move projects forward. Details will be unveiled shortly...In the meantime, discover the main themes that will structure the program.

Today, large-scale industrial projects rely on a close combination of innovation, infrastructure, execution capability and environmental performance. The Summit program has been designed to reflect this reality, offering a coherent, action-oriented, two-day program. Transforming an alignment of intentions into the start of a chain of concrete decisions. Rather than addressing these issues in isolation, the Summit follows the actual logic of developing and scaling complex industrial projects, from innovation to implementation and operational performance.

DAY 1 - Aligning realities

Objective: create a common language, set out the realities on the ground, lay the foundations for decisions.

DAY 2 - Decide and activate

Objective: Convert discussions into a concrete action plan.

From innovation to the field

Transforming innovation into deployable solutions

This axis focuses on innovations that are ready to be tested, deployed or scaled up.

It is as much aimed at companies seeking to integrate new solutions as at researchers and engineers involved in concrete projects.

Objective: Identify what is technologically mature, understand the conditions for deployment and accelerate the transition from applied research to industry.

Technologies and infrastructures: the test of reality

Creating the conditions for scaling up

The success of industrial projects depends on the right infrastructure: energy, water, transport, data, equipment and technical services.

This section looks at the real constraints faced by companies and regions, and the levers available to address them.

Objective: Align industrial needs with existing and future capacities, and clarify the conditions required for sustainable growth.

Major projects, major lessons

Set up, operate and grow

Major projects are where innovation, infrastructure and regional governance converge.

Through case studies and feedback, this section explores the success factors – and obstacles – involved in setting up and scaling up major industrial projects.

Objective: to share practical lessons for speeding up projects, improving coordination between players and reducing risks.

Mobility and energy: the transition that makes sense

Reducing footprint while maintaining competitiveness

Decarbonization is approached as a performance lever, integrated into industrial and regional decisions.

It cuts across the entire program, and applies to technology choices, infrastructure design, business models and circularity.

Objective: To provide decision-makers with the tools they need to effectively balance environmental performance, costs, deadlines and long-term competitiveness.

Programming designed for impact

The Summit combines two complementary formats:

  • Plenary sessions to share a common understanding of structuring issues and cross-reference industry, regional and research perspectives.
  • Targeted workshops bringing together a limited number of participants to discuss specific issues, with the aim of identifying concrete courses of action.

This approach reconciles strategic alignment and operational activation.

Programming designed with you in mind

At the end of the two days, you will have :

  • a clear, shared vision of the major challenges facing complex industrial projects,
  • a clear understanding of the roles, responsibilities and levers of each player,
  • operational foundations to trigger or accelerate effective collaboration and structuring decisions.

The Summit is thus positioned as a forum for coordination, dialogue and activation, at the service of high-performance, sustainable and competitive industrial projects.
